STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF A LOAD TEST RIG AND DESIGN EVALUATION USING FEM

This paper deals with structural design and analysis of a test rig for testing of critical components used for aerospace applications. The loads on the components mounted in the test are applied through hydraulic actuator. The test rig is made of various structural members such as I-section, C-section, L-section, etc. Selection of sections for fabricating the test rig will be dictated by detailed load assessment of the test rig.
