Abstract
the global demand of concrete in the future is more challenging task to find the suitable alternatives of natural aggregates, sand and cement for preparing concrete.
Rigid pavement is the one type of pavements which resists more against the external loads and long life period if it is well designed. Rigid pavement structure is composed of a hydraulic cement concrete surface course and underlying base and sub base courses (if used).
Concrete is prepared by mixing various constituents like cement, aggregates, water, etc. which are economically available. Concrete plays a critical role in the design and construction of the nation’s infrastructure. Almost three quarters volume of concrete is aggregates and the important content of concrete is cement. We have to find the suitable alternatives for both of these materials.
