Abstract
Today there are many commercially available products in market that only detect gas leakage. They only alarm us to tell that gas leak has exceeded a threshold level but won’t take any preventive measures against it to stop leak from getting worse. Our product detects gas leakage and accordingly blocks the valve attached to the cylinder to stop outlet of gas by using a motor, starts exhaust fan to release the gas into open air then switch off the main supply to the home. Thus security against hazards of gas leak is accomplished. Plus the system does automatic booking for new refilled cylinder. We can’t check the amount of gas remaining in the cylinder. There is no way of ensuring the quantity of gas in cylinder so that booking can be done in time before one gets deprived of the fuel. This problem can be solved by booking for new refill after every certain days. So people handover the old cylinder to delivery men without knowing the exact quantity of gas left in the cylinder. This can lead to inefficient consumption of the available fuel. And suppose fuel consumption is more than usual then cylinder may get emptied before date of booking. So taking above problems into consideration this system also does automatic booking for the new refill to the dealer of gas agency. Automatic booking is done when quantity of fuel in the cylinder meets some threshold.
