Smart Roadways - An Optimistic Approach Towards the Road Safety and Traffic Rules

Abstract
The increase in population and commercialization demanding more transportation with all means, but with this the safety aspects are generally neglected and the rules set by judiciary are more often violated. This creates a mess in the system and when kept unaddressed for longer time can create intense problems. In this paper a road safety and road traffic issue is addressed. This paper is an attempt to propose an optimistic approach to make people follow the traffic rules, and when followed a reward system can be established, unlike only the penalization when rules are violated. The paper also lights on the technological aspects that can be used to establish smart roadways that is use of Near Field Magnetic Induction Communication, sensors, Global Positioning System, Cloud Server etc. With use of smart roadways approach and the reward system, optimistically we can expect that the roads become safer.
