Abstract
Now a days , operating system is everywhere. Operating system is called as heart of computer. Without operating system desktop computers , laptops, hand held devices are difficult to manage. In the current era operating system is becoming more and more popular and also user friendly. The objective of this paper is to provides brief introduction of an operating system , comparison of different operating systems. This paper also focus on recent trends in operating system along with introduction to mobile operating system.
