Abstract
Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) are crushed, graded particles processed from the demolition of construction waste materials that have been used in the constructions. The main aim of this project is to determine the Fatigue model of recycled concrete aggregate with utilization in high strength concrete, which will give a better results on the properties of concrete with recycled aggregates, as an alternative material to coarse aggregate in concrete. with this alternate use of material in the construction will also help in the form of economic and environmental concern. Fatigue is one of the mode of failure in the pavements to be considered in the design of structures subjected to repeated application of load. Fatigue failure takes place under the influence of repetitive or cyclic load, whose peak values are considerably smaller than safe loads estimated on the basis static load test. The fatigue criterion is the far most important factor in the design of concrete pavements. The criterion is used to predict failure and is normally investigated through material testing of small specimens (cubes, cylinders, or beams) in laboratories or full scale field test sections. The present project gives an overview on the study of the fatigue behavior of plain and fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) with experimental on compression fatigue. The performance of plain cement concrete with FRC, which is compared in order to quantify the influence of fibre on fatigue behaviour. Despite the conflicting information regarding the fatigue behaviour of concrete reported in the literature, the present research shows that the inclusion of fibres can benefit the fatigue performance of concrete.
