Abstract
This work will be focus on simulating the nature of alloy wheel during operation on field. A lot of work has been performed in this field by considering the car or any other low weight vehicle but consideration of tractor or trailer has been neglected. In this work tractor wheel has been considered for the analysis.
A range of variables and parameter will be accounted in the simulation. Stress occur on the rim under radial load determine the performance characteristic of an alloy wheel for structural integrity. A wheel should maintain structural integrity without any cracks or plastic deformation. Further down a radial load, the asset of the rim usually determines the fatigue life of a wheel, so the stress assessment is mainly focused on the rim.
The objective of present study is to investigate new techniques for fatigue strength evaluation of components with a given surface roughness. The fundamental idea is that finite element analysis of the surface topography will provide better characterization of the surface than current empirical techniques. Tables or graphical aids, are based on fatigue challenging of the actual surface state of affairs and have little general applicability.
Our focused on:
1. To simulate the stress analysis of alloy wheel using computer aided engineering software (ANSYS) through FEA.
2. To studies the stress analysis distribution occurs of an alloy wheel made from different material when static force is acted on it.
3. To Compare different materials on the basis of their properties.
