In this paper, the development of a Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) for emergency rescue and locating the nearest node is investigated using the application of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Currently, mobile phones are the primary methods of navigation. Even though during an emergency, we face a lot of difficulties in communication. One of the solutions is using Wifi access points as anchors, measuring signal strength and calculating position using trilateration. However, there are heavy setup costs in laying the foundation for Wifi position tracking. This application aims to address this issue by implementing different methods of making communication viable by using recently developed Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with the new API's released by Google, we can now use (Bluetooth) Beacon devices to acts as anchors. The key feature of BLE is the lightweight communication between devices that allows us to provide enough content to share. This application will demonstrate the simplicity and robustness of BLE as well as its many extendable application and capabilities.
