Abstract
People with hearing disability face everyday challenges. Consider a deaf person is alone at home then he/she won’t be able to figure out if someone pressed the doorbell. So, the aim of this paper is the design and implementation of a low cost system for deaf people to notify them regarding the visitor at their doorstep. Components of our system include a Raspberry pi board and a camera module, GSM module, Bluetooth, and a vibration motor. As soon as the visitor presses the doorbell, his/her image is captured which is transferred to the user’s mobile phone. Also, the vibration motor notifies the user if the doorbell has been pressed. The captured image is also sent to the server along with its date and time for future retrieval.
