MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF M60 HIGH PERFORMANCE SELF COMPACTING REINFORCEMENT CONCRETE BEAM BY USING BLENDS OF DIFFERENT SIZES OF COARSE AGGREGATE

Abstract
Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a highly workable concrete that entirely fills the formwork with its own weight and self-compacts without trembling mechanically. Owing to its unique features, SCC has become more popular in Japan, Europe, and the USA since it was initially developed there in 1988. This method's primary benefit is its ability to reduce concrete laying issues under challenging circumstances. It gets easier and faster to construct and place. SCC improves concrete quality, particularly in members with reinforcing congestion, by reducing permeability and enhancing durability. Such concrete can save energy, expedite placement, and need less labor for finishing and compaction. For the construction of highway bridges, dams, massive structures, etc., high strength concrete is needed.The current work, "Properties of M60 High Strength Self- Compacting Concrete by using Blends of Different Sizes of Coarse Aggregate," is evaluated in light of the aforementioned information. The current study determines the parameters of HPSCC M60 grade for blends with varying coarse aggregate sizes (12.5 mm, 16 mm, and 20 mm) and 5% GGBS and 10% of Flyash replacement for cement in accordance with Nan-su mix design. Tests on SCC's novel properties, such as L-box, V-Funnel, J-ring, and T50 Slump Flow, are carried out. The EFNARC guidelines are satisfied by Fresh Properties. Beam is cast and allowed to cure normally for the designated number of days. For 3, 7, and 28 days, the compressive strength of HPSCC M60 is measured.
