Abstract:
Technology in banks is a powerful massive driving force that enforces the banking sector to move in a profitable way of performing banking business. In this regard the study seeks to illuminate the performance of Canara Bank branches in Dharwad district with the adoption of technology in the bank branches. The study makes an insight on the quantitative analysis with the various parameters such as; amount of deposits, advances, number of branches, CASA accounts, employees, ATMs, Net banking users, mobile banking users and BHIM app users of Canara Bank in Dharwad district. The secondary data is collected through Canara Bank Regional Office – I Hubballi, which heads the whole of Dharwad district branches of Canara Bank. The study found that the growth rate of the bank shows positive trend and adopted the strategy of cutting the operational cost by reducing number of ATMs and branches.
