  • By combining social media interaction with real-time transactional capabilities, social commerce is completely changing the online purchasing experience. This study looks into how influencer credibility, tailored experiences, and integrated technology are changing customer behavior on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The study, which is based on data from 500 respondents in Indian metro and non-metropolitan areas, examines three hypotheses about regional adoption trends, influencer impact, and technology advancement. Purchase intention and influencer credibility are significantly positively correlated, according to regression study, and user engagement is increased by technology aspects like AI and AR. Additionally, the results show that adoption rates are greater in tier II and III cities, suggesting inclusive digital growth. The report emphasizes the advantages and disadvantages of social commerce in India, such as the necessity for legal frameworks and data privacy issues. It provides insightful information for platform developers, politicians, and digital entrepreneurs who want to use social commerce to expand e-commerce in a fair and sustainable way. By integrating transactional experiences into digital social interactions, social commerce a revolutionary fusion of e-commerce and social media—is changing the face of online shopping. The dynamics of social commerce are examined in this essay, with an emphasis on how new platforms are changing established e-commerce models and impacting consumer behavior. The study uses a mixed-methods research strategy, analyzing secondary insights from academic and industry studies as well as primary survey data from 500 consumers. The essay explores the growth of social commerce in India, highlighting its unique user-driven ecosystem, influencer credibility, platform interactivity, and customization. It also addresses platform dependency and data privacy issues, suggesting policies for sustainable development.
