  • Abstract:
  • Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) has become a cornerstone of sustainable industrial development in the global economy. This research article investigates the impact of OSH practices on industrial growth at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur—one of India’s most venerable and pioneering steel manufacturing enterprises. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, interviews, workplace observations, and secondary data analysis, this study explores how OSH influences productivity, workforce morale, financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term competitiveness. Findings indicate that robust safety protocols and health initiatives are significantly associated with improved operational performance, reduced accidents, lower absenteeism, enhanced employee engagement, and strengthened corporate reputation. The study concludes with policy insights and recommendations for integrating OSH into corporate strategy to support sustainable industrial growth.
