IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATION ON HUMAN RESOURCE PRACTICES: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation have emerged as transformative technologies in Human Resource Management (HRM). Organizations increasingly utilize AI-powered tools to streamline recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, workforce planning, and training activities. The adoption of AI enables HR professionals to improve efficiency, reduce administrative workload, and make data-driven decisions. The present study examines the role of AI and automation in HR practices and evaluates employee perceptions regarding their effectiveness. Primary data were collected from 100 respondents in Bengaluru through a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that AI significantly improves recruitment efficiency and employee management processes. However, concerns relating to privacy, job displacement, and technological adaptation continue to challenge organizations. The study concludes that AI should complement human expertise rather than replace it to achieve sustainable HR development.
