  • Abstract:
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in Human Resource Management to improve the speed, efficiency and consistency of recruitment processes. Educational institutions receive applications from large numbers of faculty and administrative candidates, making manual screening and shortlisting time-consuming. AI-based recruitment tools can assist HR departments in screening. applications, matching qualifications with job requirements, identifying relevant experience and generating shortlists for further evaluation. This short research paper examines the potential role of AI in the shortlisting and selection process in educational institutions. The paper focuses on the benefits, challenges and human oversight required when AI is used for recruitment. A conceptual framework is proposed in which AI-assisted screening influences recruitment efficiency, while transparency, fairness and human supervision are considered important factors affecting the quality of selection decisions. The paper concludes that AI should be used as a decision-support tool rather than as a complete replacement for HR professionals and selection committees.
