abstract = {Young urban professionals, popularly known as 'Yuppies,' are reshaping the conventional work environment by favoring entrepreneurship over traditional corporate roles. Unlike earlier generations, Yuppies are drawn to the freedom, financial independence, and autonomy offered by creating their own ventures. The advent of the gig economy, remote work, and digital platforms has provided them with numerous opportunities to generate income beyond the confines of a 9-to-5 work structure.
This study investigates whether this shift towards entrepreneurship is a long- lasting phenomenon or merely a trend. It analyzes the challenges faced by Yuppies, their perception of leadership, and the strategies adopted by organizations to create a work environment that aligns with the expectations of this dynamic workforce. The findings provide valuable insights into the evolving leadership models and the factors influencing Yuppies’ career choices.
