  • Abstract:
  • 2D nanomaterials represent a class of crystalline materials characterized by atomic-scale thickness and extensive lateral dimensions, offering unique properties such as high surface-to-volume ratios, quantum confinement, and tunable behaviors. This paper reviews key synthesis methods, including top-down and bottom-up approaches, essential characterization techniques for structural, chemical, and functional analysis, and diverse applications in energy, sensing, catalysis, electronics, and biomedicine. Emphasis is placed on advancing scalable production and property optimization for practical implementation.
