Lawyers occupy a unique position of trust within society and are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, competence, and professional conduct. This article examines the ethical foundations of legal practice and the importance of professional identity in maintaining public confidence in the legal system. It explores the duties owed by lawyers to clients, courts, and society, and highlights the importance of ethical education in sustaining the legitimacy of the legal profession.
