abstract = {This paper analyses the film ‘Inside Out’ through the lenses of visual narrative, trauma studies, and psychosocial studies. It examines the film's visual elements in relation to theoretical perspectives on identity, personality disorders, and psychosocial development. Focusing on the use of colour, shapes, and personified neurotransmitters, it shows how the film conveys the gradual emergence of trauma within the protagonist's personality. Drawing on trauma studies and psychosocial perspectives, the analysis considers how the film represents the effects of disruption on memory, identity, interpersonal relationships, and emotional regulation.},
