        abstract = {Stock market participation among young adults has been steadily rising in India, driven by increased digital access, financial technology platforms, and growing interest in wealth creation. Despite this trend, the level of awareness and financial literacy among youth varies significantly across regions. This study examines the extent of stock market awareness among youth in the Thrissur district of Kerala. The objectives include assessing their knowledge of basic stock market concepts, identifying sources of information, evaluating their investment behaviour, and analyzing the factors influencing their participation. A descriptive research design was adopted, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to a sample of young respondents aged 18–30 years. The findings reveal a moderate level of awareness, with many youths relying on social media and online trading apps for information rather than formal financial education. Key barriers identified include perceived risk, lack of guidance, and limited understanding of market mechanisms. The study highlights the need for targeted financial literacy initiatives, institutional support, and curriculum integration to enhance informed investment decisions among the youth. The results provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and financial institutions aiming to promote responsible participation in the stock market.},
