        abstract = {Python is a widely used general-purpose, high level programming language mainly developed for emphasis on code readability, and its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code. Python scripting language that is scalable, reliable, platform independent is gaining attention because of its ease of use and numerous number of inbuilt modules.
In this paper, a survey of different papers where Python packages are used to interact with databases are studied. The merits and demerits of each proposed methodology is analysed and presented in a consolidated manner.
