Abstract
A Modern energy minimization method is designated in this paper for the estimation of bias field and segmentation of MR images. The energy minimization takes the full reward of the decomposition of MR images into two components, which are original image that a physical property of the tissues and the bias field that accounts for the intensity inhomogeneity, and their various spatial properties. Optimization of Bias Field and segmentation of tissues are carried out at the same time by energy minimization process. The bias field is infinitely adjusted by using effective matrix mathematical operations, which are verified to be mathematically stable by matrix analysis. More importantly, the energy in our formulation is convex in each of its variables, which indications the robustness of the suggested energy minimization algorithm. We have prefaced an optimization known as optimization of intrinsic components which demonstrates the image energy graph for energy minimization.
