Abstract
Arc welding is the most general used method in production engineering for joining metal parts. There are so many process parameters which affect the quality of weld joints. But, the welding current, welding voltage, and Welding speed are important. However, the important performance measures in Arc welding are Tensile strength, Ductility, Hardness and corrosion resistant. This paper reviews the research work carried out from the inception to the development of introducing vibration in weld pool in Arc welding in past few years. It reports research relating to performance improvement of weld joint process variables optimization. A wide range of industrial applications for variety of materials are reported with variations. The paper also discusses the future trend of research work in the area of vibration in welding.
