Abstract
Gauge R&R, which stands for gauge repeatability and reproducibility, is a statistical tool that measures the amount of variation in the measurement system arising from the measurement device and the people taking the measurement. The below research paper explains one of the methods to calculate Gauge R&R in detail and concludes how Gauge R&R study plays an important role in determining acceptability of a particular measuring system. Measurement uncertainty is a non-negative parameter characterizing the dispersion of the values attributed to a measured quantity and also is the estimation of potential errors in a measurement process.
