Abstract
The Phase change-over can only is installed with three-phase supply. The selection of Phase change over is done according to the mains load. This system automatically gives output of all the three phase either one or two phases are missing, and after the return or present of all three phase it diverts automatically to its originating phase. Automating feature is now the need of the day. It is user friendly and easy to use. In the earlier days (even today at some places) the manual operations are frequent. When the main supply goes off the person manually turn on the generator. In case of the electrical appliance control using automation causes more safety. This system is a prototype for the same which is auto change over to generator when supply fails. In this system we are designing an embedded circuit to control this When there is a deviation in one of the phases in the incoming voltage, current and power factor the output will switch over to the next available healthier phase. Three relays are there to control the switching. Maintenance of transmission and distribution lines trouble free is one of the daunting tasks. To protect the electric and electronic devices against voltage fluctuations of the main supply, a microcontroller-based circuit is designed by using embedded system technology. This intelligent system will keep monitoring all 3 phases of power supply and it compares with Reference parameters continuously. When there is a deviation in one of the phases in the incoming voltage, current and power factor the output will switch over to the next available healthier phase.By using an GSM Module in the Microcontroller a simple fault message will be sent by Short Message Service (SMS) to the intended recipient to alert. There is a provision for Inverter back up to the load when all 3 phases is not healthy..
