Abstract
Wireless sensor networks is one of trending technology in wireless communication. A sensor is a device that responds to and detects input from physical or environmental conditions, such as pressure, heat, light, etc. The sensor nodes communicate one another via variety of wireless strategies. These communication strategies are managed by routing protocols. Wireless Sensor Networks Routing Protocols has been classified in three main categories based on routing information, network structure, and protocol operation. Among them, Stable routing protocols maintain consistent and reliable communication paths in a computer network. The idea of this paper is to give a summary of stability-based routing protocols for heterogeneous and homogeneous sensor nodes with its merits and demerits.
