These assignments could be short-term or long-term and may involve various levels of cultural integration and adaptation. The reasons for global mobility are diverse and can include career advancement, access to better job opportunities, gaining international experience, cultural exchange, or seeking a better quality of life. However, navigating global mobility can involve challenges such as adapting to new cultures, legal requirements, language barriers, and adjusting to different work environments. Companies often have dedicated teams or departments to manage global mobility initiatives, assisting employees with relocation, visa processes, cultural training, and ongoing support during their assignments.
