A smart factory is an advanced manufacturing facility that uses cutting-edge technologies to optimize production processes. Industry 4.0 integrates automation and data exchange in manufacturing with advanced technologies like IoT, cloud computing, AI, machine learning, automation, and robotics to enhance productivity. It is a cyber physical system that combines robots, tools, and workpieces in a cyber-physical environment, allowing for continuous collaboration and communication that leads to production that is self-organizing and self-optimizing Industry 5.0 focuses on collaboration between humans and machines, with collaborative robots being a key part.
