This research paper investigates the challenges faced by gig workers in the modern economy and explores their implications for worker well-being and job satisfaction. Through a quantitative analysis of survey data collected from a sample of gig workers, the study identifies key challenges, including income instability, lack of benefits, job insecurity, and limited career prospects. Furthermore, the research examines the demotivating effects of these challenges on gig workers' commitment to continue in the gig economy. The findings highlight the urgent need for comprehensive interventions to improve the work environment and support the well-being of gig workers, with implications for policymakers, gig platforms, businesses, and advocacy groups. Future research directions are also discussed, emphasizing the importance of longitudinal studies and comparative analyses to further our understanding of the gig economy and inform policy and practice.
