  • Abstract:
  • This study investigates the role of Leadership styles in enhancing the working Condition in nursing colleges, with a specific focus on their impact on faculty members. Using a descriptive research design, the study sampled 150 nursing faculty members from various nursing colleges. Leadership styles, including transformational, transactional, and authoritarian, were examined to determine their influence on job satisfaction, teamwork, motivation, and overall working environment. The study employed a structured questionnaire to assess the perceptions of faculty members regarding their leaders’ styles and how these styles affected their work Condition. Results revealed that transformational Leadership had the most significant positive impact on the working environment, with faculty members reporting higher levels of job satisfaction, collaboration, and motivation under leaders who adopted this style. Transactional Leadership was moderately effective, particularly in goal-oriented tasks, but lacked the long-term benefits seen with transformational Leadership. Authoritarian Leadership, in contrast, had a negative influence, contributing to a stressful and less collaborative work Condition. Additionally, factors such as age, years of experience, and Leadership roles were found to significantly influence faculty members’ perceptions of Leadership effectiveness. The findings suggest that adopting transformational Leadership practices can greatly enhance the working Condition in nursing colleges, promoting a supportive and collaborative environment. The study recommends Leadership development programs that focus on transformational Leadership to improve the overall work environment for nursing faculty, ultimately contributing to better academic and clinical outcomes.
