  • Abstract:
  • Faculty development programs (FDP) are vital for the overall improvement in teaching quality because these programs offer educators the acquisition of needed skills, knowledge, and tools to enhance professional practice. This article evaluates how faculty development programs impact teacher quality. There are several types of FDPs- such as workshops, mentoring, e-learning, and research support. This research study aimed to clarify to what extent such programs influence important dimensions of teaching, encompassing pedagogical skill, technology integration, classroom management, and student engagement. When developing a research methodology of this study, the literature review method in conjunction with the analysis concerning the impact of FDPs on teachers and students must be considered. Findings indicate that FDPs not only improve the quality of teaching but also motivate learning performance among students, strengthen the confidence level of teachers, and contribute to adjustments for new educational trends. Best practices for FDPs are also discussed to outline how institutions can leverage such programs for added benefits. This article provides an in-depth overview of how faculty development programs influence teacher quality, and it offers practical insights into the design of effective FDPs.
