  • Abstract:
  • As e-learning platforms become increasingly integrated into modern education, their effectiveness largely depends on educators' ability to use them effectively. This study investigates the impact of sufficient teacher preparation on maximizing the benefits of e-learning platforms among schoolteachers in Mauritius. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, it involves a survey of 100 secondary school teachers, sampled through stratified random sampling, to assess the overall effectiveness of teacher training in e-learning integration. Additionally, structured interviews are conducted with 20 teachers to gain deeper insights into their experiences and perceptions of the training programs. Quantitative data from the surveys are analyzed using statistical methods, while thematic analysis is applied to identify patterns in the interview responses. The findings reveal that focused, ongoing professional development is critical for realizing the full potential of e-learning tools. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing teacher training programs, helping educators maximize student learning experiences through effective e-learning integration.
