  • Abstract:
  • Mercury (II) acetate is Oxidatively cyclize the aromatic aldoximes with olefins via nitrile oxide intermediate. The method is adopted to successfully synthesize a Series of heterocycles bearing both isoxazoline and imidazole moieties with high purity and good yield. 1HNMR, 13CNMR, IR and elemental analyses characterized the synthesized compounds. Also compounds were evaluated for the antibacterial and antifungal activities and were compared with the standard drugs. The compounds show potent to weak antimicrobial activity.
