  • Abstract:
  • Corrosion of reinforcement bars is a dangerous problem. To overcome this corrosion better building materials required. Using FRP bars is the one of best method to avoid corrosion problem. This paper present comparative study of deep beams reinforced using FRP bar and steel bar. Fibre used for the study was CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced polymer). Nonlinear analysis of deep beams accomplished using ANSYS 15.0 software. An objective of this study was to determine shear strength and deflection. Parameters considered are effective span to depth ratio (1.7, 1.6, and 1.5).
