abstract = {The experimental study has been undertaken to replace the fan motor base of Air Curtain. The fan motor base causes the split of entering air in the air curtain. The literature review revels that the presence of mid-block section of air curtain base cause split at air entry gives rise to dead zone resulting in promotion of air infiltration. For their increasing load of air conditioning devices thus rising in electricity bill. The prototype of modified air curtain has been prepared and tested with the help of doorway simulation. The air velocity is measured with the help of a hot wire anemometer for both traditional and modified air curtain. The results are represented graphically and compared. The analysis of result found that the midblock section is successfully removed and there is no dead zone formation with the modified air curtain device. Thus a smooth air flow is observed over entire doorway section.},
