abstract = { Wireless sensor Node (WSN) is used to receive & transmit information and is usually placed in remote areas. WSN is used for terrestrial (TWSN) and underwater communication (UWSN). Underwater wireless device network has emerged mutually of the necessary analysis areas for the conservation and exploitation of the ocean. Underwater device nodes area unit utilized in numerous applications like oceanographic knowledge assortment, pollution observance, offshore exploration, disaster bar, motor-assisted navigation and military science police work applications. Moreover, remote-controlled or autonomous underwater vehicles (UUVs, AUVs) equipped with sensors can modify the exploration of natural submarine resources and gathering of scientific knowledge in cooperative observance missions. however there area unit several technical and analysis challenges in UWSN that require to be attended. during this paper we have a tendency to gift the literature survey on completely different applications and challenges of UWSN.},
