  • Abstract:
  • As we are witnessing the increase in industrial output, high use of fertilizers and pesticides in farms and also other chemicals in sectors such as mining and construction , the quality of water available has reduced substantially. It is very essential to ensure the quality of water being consumed in order to avoid acute health effects. In this paper we present a design and development of a low cost system for portable monitoring of the water. The system consists of various sensors which measures essential parameters which define the potability of the given sample water and the microcontroller which processes and converts the data into readable form for humans. The parameters such as TDS, PH, temperature, turbidity of the water can be measured by using four sensors and a microcontroller.
