  • In today’s competitive world, people are flooded with huge amount of data which has filled almost every aspect of our lives. Our abilities of both generating and gathering data have been expanding speedily. This rapid growth of available data volume is a result of the computerization of our society and the fast development of powerful data collection and storage tools. We need to extract useful information from this large amount of data for better decision making. The solution to analyze huge amount of data and extract useful information from it is Data Mining popularly referred to as knowledge discovery from data (KDD). Knowledge management provides systematic approach to captures, structures, maintains, disseminate and access to the knowledge within information systems. This paper describes how data mining techniques helps for knowledge management in e-commerce
