  • Abstract:
  • Austenitic Stainless Steel is commonly ultised in aviation engine parts, heat exchangers and furnace parts among other applications. It has chromium and nickel in it. Nickel and Chromium contributes to austenitic stability across a wide temperature and good corrosion resistance respectively. It is frequently used in chloride or halide containing process streams. For tungsten inert gas welding of 316 austenitic stainless Steel, the effect of parameters on weld joint quality was explored in this work. Welding settings influence the weld’s mechanical qualities. The goal of optimization was to determine the best welding conditions for achieving maximum tensile strength.
