  • In light of its capacity for decision-making, the function of management information systems is described and examined. With an emphasis on automated decision making, the decision-making process and its effect on top-level management in a business organization are explained. Six recommendations are made to improve the effectiveness of MIS in the decision-making process after discussing its shortcomings and difficulties.
