  • Abstract:
  • Technological improvement in journalism, this study aims to examine the representation of Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G technology in journalism and how they are perceived by the general public. With the increasing use of IoT devices and the rollout of 5G networks, it is important to understand how these technologies are being portrayed in the media and how they are being received by the public. The study is based on a qualitative analysis of a sample of news articles and a survey of a representative sample of the general population. Results showed that while IoT and 5G technology are frequently discussed in the media, the coverage is often focused on their potential benefits and drawbacks, with limited attention paid to their social, political, and cultural implications. The survey results indicate that the general public has a limited understanding of these technologies and is often influenced by media representations.
