LPG Gas Detection Mechanism Using MQ6 Sensor and Node MCU

  • Abstract:
  • In the modern era, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) leakage is extremely dangerous. It is also a crucial source of energy for industries, residences, automobiles, and other devices. Installing LPG leakage detectors in vulnerable and residential areas is one way to prevent risks. The main purpose of this project is to design a microcontroller-based LPG leakage detection and response system. The system uses a MQ-6 gas sensor to find LPG leaks and notifies the user of the leakage using a GSM-module through SMS or mail. Therefore, this project invokes detection of gas leakage thereby successfully shutting the system down. It prevents accidents.
