abstract = {Internet of things (IoT) is the interconnection of uniquely identifiable embedded computing devices within the existing infrastructure. It also uses the wireless sensor networks which is a group of specialized transducers with a communications infrastructure for monitoring and recording conditions at diverse locations. The proposed system (Vehicle Traffic Monitoring) has a central microcontroller at every junction which receives data from tiny wireless sensor nodes place on the Road. Traffic density is calculated with the help of IOT trans-receivers and the information is passed to cloud server which will give prior information regarding traffic jam at junctions and ambulance route clearance system.},
