  • Abstract:
  • This study investigates orthodontists' awareness of clear aligner material's effect on the environment and disposal of plastic waste generated from Clear Aligner Therapy (CAT) in India. Methods: An electronic questionnaire was distributed online to gather information about the materials used in Clear Aligners, their properties, environmental impact, and disposal practices. Results: Orthodontists are generally aware of the material properties of Clear Aligners, but many lack clear guidelines on proper waste disposal and its environmental effects. Conclusions: There is a need for strict disposal guidelines for Clear Aligner waste, making it more environmentally friendly.
