  • Abstract:
  • Mathematics education in India has been a critical aspect of the academic landscape, shaping the intellectual and analytical capabilities of students. However, despite India's long history of mathematical innovation, modern mathematics education faces several challenges. This paper explores the key issues identified in the last five years through various reports, surveys, and studies. The challenges range from curriculum rigidity and pedagogical inefficiencies to socioeconomic barriers and digital divide issues, with implications on students' learning outcomes and India's overall educational goals. The research concludes with recommendations for addressing these challenges and enhancing the quality of mathematics education in India.
