AN OBSERVATIONAL STUDY ON MIASMATIC APPROACH IN MANAGEMENT OF HYPERTENSION

  • Abstract:
  • The miasmatic approach, rooted in homeopathic principles, offers a unique perspective on the treatment and understanding of chronic diseases, including hypertension. According to homeopathy, miasms are underlying predispositions or tendencies towards disease that can influence an individual’s overall health. This article explores the role of miasmatic theory in the context of hypertension, a condition traditionally viewed through the lens of conventional medicine as a multi factorial disorder related to lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors. By examining hypertension from a miasmatic standpoint, this article delves into how homeopathic practitioners might categorize the condition under specific miasms—such as psora, sycosis, and syphilis—and how this classification informs individualized treatment strategies. Furthermore, the article reviews the potential benefits and limitations of applying miasmatic theory to hypertension management, offering insights into an integrative approach that bridges homeopathy and modern medical practices. While still a topic of debate within medical communities, the miasmatic approach to hypertension provides an alternative framework that emphasizes constitutional treatment and holistic care, potentially improving patient outcomes in a complementary care model.
