  • The emergence of OTT platforms has revolutionized the consumption of digital content changing the traditional viewing experience & creating space for historical narratives & cultural identities to be reinterpreted. This article examines the impact of OTT platforms, focusing on the critically acclaimed Netflix series - The Crown, which chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, through an analysis of its narrative structure & specific characteristics of the program in detail. This paper explores how The Crown engages with issues of femininity, power & identity. It serves as a lens through which modern audiences engage with past events by contextualizing The Crown in the Digital Humanities framework. This article argues that how OTT platforms function as modern intermediaries for cultural studies discourse on gender & new interpretations of history & it thus alters the way we perceive & interact with history & contemporary society.
