  • Abstract:
  • The COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching effects on prenatal care, impacting maternal health and child development. Garbh Sanskar, an ancient Indian practice that integrates spiritual, mental, and physical well-being for the fetus, has gained significance during this period. This study investigates the impact of Garbh Sanskar on expecting parents and their children, analyzing both positive and negative effects during the pandemic. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research focuses on 20 children (10 boys, 10 girls) whose parents practiced Garbh Sanskar during pregnancy. The findings highlight emotional stability, improved physical health, and enhanced cognitive development in children, despite the challenges posed by limited healthcare access. This paper underscores the relevance of integrating traditional practices with modern healthcare frameworks to support maternal and child well-being during crises.
