  • The current wave of Disinvestment/Privatization has come after a long period that was characterized by nationalisation and growth in the size of the public sector in the economics worldwide. There have been some studies that compare organizational structure and functioning of PEs with private enterprises multinationals and enterprises owned by large business houses. The difference in the goals and priorities are as perceived by the top management of the different enterprise and the respective style of functioning have been examined in these studies. The general conclusion drawn in these studies are that the meeting of national priorities.
