abstract = {Automatic number-plate recognition is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates using OpenCV and Tesseract OCR Engine. This sort of system has several principal applications related to management functions associated with traffic, law enforcement, tolls recovered, and payment for parking. ANPR typically includes image capturing for vehicle plates through a high-resolution camera, succeeded by image processing techniques that aim at extracting and interpreting alphanumeric characters. It consists of machine learning algorithms to provide accuracy and efficiency in various environmental conditions, such as light and weather conditions. Further development in the area of deep learning again resulted in a performance boost of the ANPR system, and interface with other surveillance systems.},
